Here at Carrycut we aim to make things easier for you – especially shipping and freight services. Below is a step-by-step guide for the use of our app. If you still have a question, we would be happy to answer it, so shoot us a message.
What is a mission?
First things first, we need to ensure we all have the same vocabulary. Here at Carrycut we refer to each transportation transaction as a mission.

1: the transportation of goods from sender to receiver using the Carrycut App.
I need to move this table to my new apartment, but I don’t have a car so I will post a mission on Carrycut!
This means that if you want to send an item, you post a mission. If you have space to spare, and want to deliver a parcel, you can accept a mission as a carrier.

Adjusting your settings:
The first thing you need to do is adjust your user settings. The app needs information like your bankcard (bankkort) – to pay for sending a mission, and your account number (kontonummer) – to receive payment as a carrier. You can also choose to include VAT (MVA) to your receipts by checking the box under your settings. The settings page can be reached by tapping the three dots in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Once you have adjusted your settings you can add a new mission or choose to take an existing mission!
Posting a mission:
To post a mission, the first thing you need to do is select Sende.
You will then be asked to provide some important logistical information. This will include a description of what is being sent, the modes of transportation which would be appropriate for the transportation, the origin and destination, a suggested price, as well as pickup and deliver-by times for the mission. This information is required by our algorithm to optimize the routes for transporters.
Additionally, you will be requested to provide information about the receiver. When you select the receiver you will be given the option to ‘velg fra kontakter’ (select from contacts) or ‘Lag ny mottaker’ (make new recipient). If you choose velg fra kontakter, you will be brought to your phones contacts, and you can select the receiver from there. If you chose to lag ny mottaker, you be asked to provide the recipient’s name, email, and phone number.
Once all the information is filled out, simply click ‘publiser oppdrag’ to post the mission.
Become a transporter by accepting a mission:
Are you ready to help us make this a sharing economy? If you have a little spare time or space in your vehicle, becoming a carrier is easy!
To start, you need to select Frakte on the homepage in the app. Depending on your privacy settings, the app will use your current location to search for nearby missions. If it does not, you can manually enter starting location of your route. Then typing in your destination, and selecting your mode of transportation, will allow our algorithm to filter the missions and suggest the most convenient options for you. After you browse through the options, select the mission of your choice for further details and to contact the sender.
Receiving a mission:
When someone selects you are the receiver for a mission your information, provided by the sender, will be made available to the transporter. This will allow them to contact you directly for further information about the further details regarding the delivery. Additionally, you are also able to send and receive messages through the Carrycut app.
Messaging with the Carrycut App:
Sending a message is as simple as typing it in the text field and tapping the paper airplane. But, just so you know, pressing enter on your phone’s keyboard will also send the message. Additionally, you can send photographs in the Carrycut App messenger. If you chose to add a photo, you will be given the option to use your phone’s camera, or to select an image from your phones camera roll.
